Fourth Dimension

Take two points A and B. What is the shortest route for A to reach B? Everyone would say a straight line. They are right. But they are also wrong. Two points on a 2D plane may be linked just by folding it. Similarly in the case of space-time, what happens is the fabric warps, the way a one dimensional line can be made into a two dimensional figure by taking a point outside it. Therefore, I believe studying black hole is the key to understanding the nature of the fourth dimension. It was pretty easy to assume that we could take a point outside the space-time fabric and turn it into 4D. But the fact of the matter is that we are a part of the space-time continual and so as of now everything that we see, sense etc. is within 3D and below. But it is up to our imagination to do the job. If we could imagine whatever we are seeing, sensing around us was not the right means of understanding the world beyond us then we could open up the scope for more media of detection. For example I assume space waves. These are waves created by the constant shaping and reshaping of the space-time continual. And I believe that any force that could make, break and reshape the space-time continual could well be of higher dimensions. Time, as we know it, do we really know what it is? Is it really an arrow flowing into the future carrying as in the present? Did it have a beginning or an end? or a top or a bottom? Studying the properties of time to precision would get us to the fourth dimension. Dimensions don’t just have to be special. Like the space and time merge to form the three dimensions that we know magnetism and time could well be forming the fifth and the sixth dimension. We have them at our disposal but we don’t know how to use them. With this I would like to leave other ways of reaching the fourth dimension up to you.

How I got to this conclusion?

Thinking about black-holes they are peculiar objects. They probably are the parts to the higher dimensions. All of these complicated phenomenon can be explained only if we consider another dimension. Thus I landed up on the conclusion that higher dimensions do indeed exist and their evidences are black – holes.
